Anti-Racism Statement

Yorkshire Sculpture International stands in solidarity with those across the globe protesting the racial injustice and systemic violence that Black communities continue to suffer. As a collaborative initiative produced by four world-renowned galleries, we commit to anti-racist work by interrogating our accountability, position and civic responsibilities.

A core focus for Yorkshire Sculpture International during our research and development period has been about how we advocate and amplify the work of marginalised communities. We are focusing on how we will do more to support and promote Black artists working with sculpture. Over the coming months we will update our website as our plans continue to evolve and we commit to increasing the inclusion of under-represented artists throughout our programme.
