Kimsooja: Stepping Inside the Sculpture

A rare and exclusive opportunity to experience Kimsooja’s A Needle Woman: Galaxy was a Memory, Earth is a Souvenir (2014) from within. This striking architectural sculpture is normally locked but for this special event visitors could step inside its usually unknown space for an incomparable and immersive experience.

Within the sculpture, a mirrored floor makes it appear to extend deep into the earth as well as reaching into the sky. This special opportunity allowed the viewer stand at the threshold between the two.
