Sculpture Network 2020 was launched by Yorkshire Sculpture International to support artists and the development of their practice.
Over a duration of four months, 22 Yorkshire-based artists working in sculpture attended fortnightly meet-ups online that were facilitated by an invited lead artist, curator, writer or researcher. The programme focused on caring for artists throughout the uncertain and immediate future, and took a holistic approach to supporting artists in their practice as well as their wellbeing.
The network was convened by the Yorkshire Sculpture International team with curators from the Yorkshire Sculpture International partner galleries – the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds Art Gallery, The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
Invited artists and facilitators:
Leilah Babirye, Jennifer Boyd, Emma Cousin, Kevin Hunt, Helen Pheby, Rachel Pimm, Thomas J. Price, Zoe Williams.
This project has been supported by Arts Council England.
