The science of making sculpture: material

University of Leeds

This exploratory and lively session brought to light the hidden aspects of making large-scale, innovative sculpture. Drawing on engineering and materials science, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at University of Leeds, we explored the science and engineering that makes sculpture happen, really unpicking what it takes to make sculpture with artists, technicians and material scientists.

This event was part of the Sculpture in the Round Conversations series organised by University of Leeds and Yorkshire Sculpture International.
