Abbey Corbin is a multi-disciplinary artist based in York. In her practice she explores the intersection of art and ecology, weaving together speculative narratives and factual events to enable uncanny, otherworldly life-forms and ecosystems to erupt into being. Combining sculpture, video, sound, and photography, Corbin constructs multi-perspective installations that present disturbed ecosystems and fossilised ghosts of imagined futures. Her newest installation ‘In the Depths of Our Ocean’ explores the effect of toxic materials on oceanic life-forms, environments, and their ecologies.
