Christopher Jarratt’s award winning work looks to the power of storytelling, imagination and fables to create new visual and physical landscapes within communities and our environment. Through the use of colour and adjustment of context, Jarratt’s paintings, sculptures and social engagement encourages the exploration of our imagination and how we ‘read’ objects and images, finding new narratives. What stories do they hold, what can they tell us?
Based in Sheffield, Jarratt creates visionary and unique work that has been exhibited nationally and internationally including: Site Gallery, Sheffield, UK; MONA, Hobart Tasmania; Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, Israel & Moss Gallery, New York, USA. Christopher has been commissioned by high profile clients including: Lambeth Council, NHS, Lloyds of London, British Council, Norwegian Government, Glastonbury Festival, Agnes Gund, Michael Bloomberg, Brad Pitt & Sir Terence Conran.
