Paula McCloskey is an Irish artist and has lived in Sheffield for 20 years. Her practice develops a critical feminist approach to interrogate sovereign borders, cultural ecologies, and feminist new materialisms.
Since 2010 she is a co-founder, with Sam Vardy, of art + spatial research practice a place of their own, through which they work on a number of transdisciplinary, feminist and anti-colonial collaborative research projects across the arts, architecture, science and technology, co-producing site- specific performances and sculptures, artist walks, films, installations, sound, invited talks and published texts.
