Stella Barak’s practice explores themes of the poetic and unstable, as something that constantly recreates itself. Through her photographic installations, sculpture and writing she is interested in magic, in patterns of reflective photons and weave, as well as digital and algorithmic codes. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Photography is Magic, Aperture Foundation, New York (2016). She holds a PhD in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London Arts (2007) and an MA in Photographic Studies, from the University of Westminster (2002) and lectures in Fine Art and Photography at the University of Huddersfield.
